Generate a first draft with AI
How to use Daystage's AI to write a newsletter from a short description.
The AI draft tool turns a brief description into a full newsletter in seconds. It is useful when you know what you want to communicate but do not want to start from a blank page.
How to use it
- Open any newsletter in the editor.
- Click the AI Draft button in the top bar (the sparkle icon).
- Type a short description of what the newsletter should cover. The more specific you are, the better the result.
- Click Generate. The AI writes a draft and populates the editor with blocks.
- Read through the draft and edit any block that needs adjusting.
What to write in the description
Think of it as a quick briefing for a colleague. For example:
- "Weekly update for 4th grade parents. Math test Tuesday. Library books due Thursday. Remind parents about the science fair on May 22 at 6 PM in the gym."
- "End-of-semester newsletter. Thank families for their support. List the top three student projects from this semester. Mention summer reading list available in the office."
Important: Always review AI-generated text before sending. The AI may guess at details (like specific dates or room numbers) that you need to confirm.
Editing the draft
The AI draft produces normal blocks, just like blocks you would add manually. Edit any text block by clicking it. Add, delete, or rearrange blocks using the sidebar and drag handles.
