Create your first newsletter
Step-by-step: pick a starter, add your content, and send to your first list.
Creating your first newsletter takes about five minutes. Here is the full process.
Step 1: Pick a starter
From the dashboard, click one of the three starter cards at the top. If you are not sure which to use, "Weekly classroom update" is the most common starting point for K-12 teachers.
Step 2: Add your content
The editor opens with a block-based layout. Each block is an independent piece of content: a paragraph, a heading, an image, an event date, and so on. To add content:
- Click a block type in the left sidebar (Text, Heading, Image, Event, etc.)
- The block appears in the editor. Click it to start typing or upload an image.
- Drag blocks up or down to reorder them.
Step 3: Give it a title
At the top of the editor, you will see a content-editable title and subtitle. Click either one to edit them inline. The title is what recipients see in their email subject line and at the top of the newsletter.
Step 4: Choose a look
Click the "Style" tab in the bar above the editor to access templates, background photos, and color themes. Changes apply in real time.
Step 5: Send it
When you are ready, click "Send" in the top bar. A panel slides open. Choose your mailing list (or add one on the spot), confirm the recipient count, and click "Send now."
