First Full Week in the Books

Dear TPS OTPs,

Happy first-full-week-Friday. Only in my aquarian dreams do we have time for a newsletter, but alas, here one is. TBD if it helps and if it's sustainable; we'll assess feasibility and utility over time; just trying to expand our purview beyond the daily grind and identify ways to learn, connect, expand, streamline, and improve our practice.

IEP Online 3.0 Updates

As due dates and timelines march on, we are in need of interim procedures as we await system corrections.

If you have a student receiving direct OT under the category of Supplementary Aids and Services (SAS), please continue to use SAS as new IEPs are written in 3.0. Use your present levels and the PWN to clarify what the services will entail. A switch to Related Service (RS) would necessitate a reevaluation.

September 17, 2026: WSIPC Issues Formal Notice of Non-Conformance to PCG

Speaking of system corrections, a statement has been issued by WSIPC (Washington School Information Processing Cooperative), the statewide governance and coordination body for K‑12 technology services, e.g., PCG (Public Consulting Group), the independent consulting and technology company behind IEP Online. A consolidated corrective action plan is due by Friday, September 25. This is great news. More information can be viewed here.

IEP Online 3.0 User Training Modules

Self-paced (asynchronous) training modules are once again available in Pathfinder for 4.5 hours of optional tech pay. Registration closes 9/30/26.

2026-2027 PLCs

Thank you to Cindy, Erin, Missy, & Tess for your help in planning our PLC options for the year. We will alternate between program-alike and practice topic groups that we'll select when we gather as a whole group on 9/23. Below are PLC dates for the remainder of 2026. Register at your buildings via Pathfinder. Not many buildings have theirs listed yet.

9/23/26 - Whole group

10/14/26 - Program-alike

10/28/26 - Practice topic

HEALWA brings together evidence-based health information at https://heal-wa.org/ and is open to all licensed Washington State healthcare providers as defined by state law and funded through a portion of our annual licensing fees.

October 12 Waiver Day!

Looking for volunteers to help plan our October 12 Waiver (formerly known as Data) Day. Looks like we may have the entire day for job-alike time. Let Jill or Sara know if you could commit a half hour or so to brainstorm the day.

Bulk Orders

Thanks to Tricia for spearheading orders for protocols and test kits. This is such a great help! Would someone want to organize to do the same for our consumables orders? Based on how long things took last year, we'd like to get that going again now. Let Jill or Sara know if you'd be able to help.
