What will be learning?
We are going to have an exciting year as you begin your first year of middle school. Math is a subject that helps us explore and understand the world through the study of patterns, relationships, and problem-solving.
This year, you will be challenged to think in new ways, especially as we explore concepts that may be very different from what you have learned before. We will work with rational numbers, learn how to compute with them, and investigate how they relate to one another and to real-world situations.
We will also continue to build your understanding of algebra, geometry, and financial literacy. Through exploration, discussion, and practice, you will develop the skills and confidence needed to become a successful mathematical thinker.
