Space Exploration Quest is halfway through! They are learning a lot and getting their brains ready to beat the parents in a game called “Master of the Universe”

This week we start our artwork for the contest. The assignment is to paint/draw a nebula or a galaxy and have an information sheet about it as well. Parents are also welcome to enter the contest in a parent category. All submissions are due by the end of the day on November 18th!

Talk about teamwork. Share a vulnerable story about your own teamwork struggles to encourage a growth mindset and open communication about your learner's time in the studio.

Ask your learner about a time they worked through a problem or solved a disagreement in the studio.

Talk about the studio contract and tribe expectations. Discuss your own family's contract and the ways you value trust and teamwork together.

Andrew Shahan has joined our tribe as the new Director of AAGP! We're so grateful for the foundation Lyndie has laid and are excited to move into the future as we partner with Acton Buckhead. Andrew has joined ES for launch to help level up their journey tracker and goal setting, while Roekmini helps Tyra work with the Spark studio to hone in on their tactile core skills work!

GEORGIA STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP ORGANIZATION PLEDGE EARLY!

Did you know you can redirect a portion of your Georgia state income taxes toward scholarships for students at Acton Academy at Grant Park? Through Georgia's Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) program, individuals, families, and businesses can contribute and receive a dollar-for-dollar Georgia state income tax credit. This is a meaningful opportunity to help make an AAGP education more accessible to families while receiving a tax credit for your contribution.

How does this work?. Go to the website below and click "Submit your 2027 Georgia Tax Credit Pledge today". Based on your tax filing status, it will automatically populate your highest and best pledge amount. This amount is not REQUIRED, however, you cannot donate above your pledged amount. After January 1st you will receive more information about how to fulfill your pledge and claim your tax credit.

Journey Tracker Training for Parents

Learners are leveling up their badge goals! We wanted to take some time to update parents on how to navigate the journey tracker for your learner and help partner with them as they work toward their badge goals. Below are a few options for days and times for Andrew to host a training at AAGP.

NO SCHOOL - Thanksgiving Break

There will be no school November 25 - 27.

October was a busy month with field trips! Our learners were given the opportunity to see their scarecrow at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens as well as visit the Fernbank Science Center's Planetarium! Thanks to all of the chaperones who offered your time to make these such great experiences!
