National Bullying Prevention Month

Ms. Ackerman

Dear Families,

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and our class has spent the week talking about kindness, inclusion, and what to do if you see someone being left out.

Talking about kindness and inclusion

We've been practicing what it looks like to include someone who's sitting alone, to speak up when we see unkindness, and to be a good friend even when it's hard.

This week a few students made a point of inviting a classmate who usually sits alone to join their group, and it made my whole day.
  • Including someone who's sitting alone
  • Speaking up, safely, when we see unkindness
  • Telling a trusted adult if something feels wrong
